Britain served as the birthplace of Heavy metal music. Тhe music genre originated during 1960’s. Saxon: The heavy metal band located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire was founded in 1976 during the stormy New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. During 1980s, it was one of the most successful European metal bands. Iron Maiden: Reputed songwriter Steve Harris founded Iron Maiden in 1975 in Leyton, east London. The band also won 2011 Grammy award for the best metal performance. Iron Maiden is one of the best British Metal bands.

Diamond Head: The English metal band located in Stourbridge, England was founded in 1976 and leaded the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. Raven: The band located in Newcastle, England emerged during NWOBHM movement and was founded in 1974.
